Why we started the business?
The website was launched by dog owner Adele back in 2016 who developed the idea after living in the USA and using similar services there. She noticed the amount of hours she spent organising Yorkshire terrier Eddie’s needs were mounting up as there was no simple way to find everything she needed. So Plan Pooch was started.
The name was given to the brand because of the of the need to ‘plan’. Planning all you need on the go daily for your four-legged friend. Keeping all you need ‘Pooch Pinning’ all in one place, no messing around! where ever you are.
During 2017 a launch of a demo Version 1 and a launch pawty was held at the rooftop of the Ace Hotel in London. We invited fur babies and their owners to learn more about us and give us feedback.
The demo has attracted support from Insta-famous dogs and their owners including Gambit the Frenchie, Mr Gizmo the Pug and Pets Agency, along with many UK pet brands and partners. Our pawty saw Instagram pooch celebrities/ Press and Charities attend to celebrate with us in style!
2018 saw us partner with new brands and our team multiplied. We set to work with Ocado, Malmaison and Booking.com to name a few in the UK – Where we set about researching more categories and brands to add to our new mobile friendly platform. For you to plan and pooch-pin at your wish.
Version 2 is what you see now! We will be adding as we go from your feedback.
Our plans moving forward include: During late 2018/19 will see us launching in the USA to widen our reach for planning to all the fur babies and owners out there. Thus, more categories to search with ease and travel lovers able to use our platform in more places over Europe and USA as we grow.
App available? Yes of course. Our iOS and Android App is underway and we can’t wait to share that with you during 2019.
